Dr. Logan Greene has 19 years of educational experience spanning five schools and four school districts. Dr. Greene spent the last 19 years in the classroom, teaching middle and high school social studies and English language arts at Pinson Valley High School, West Blocton High School, Calera High School, and Berry Middle School, providing him a diverse set of experiences. Dr. Greene also spent 16 years coaching athletes in cross country, basketball, tennis, track, and golf.
During his teaching career he was fortunate to be named a Second Mile Teacher of the Year at Pinson Valley High School as well as Teacher of the Year at Berry Middle School. As well, Dr. Greene travels through the country and internationally facilitating training on proper practices for Holocaust education. During his career he has been honored to be a Teacher Fellow and Teacher Fellow Mentor for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the 2023 Robert I Goldman National Holocaust Teacher of the Year, and a facilitator for Echoes and Reflections.
Dr. Greene holds a Bachelors of Arts in History and English Literature from the University of Montevallo, a Masters of Education from the University of Montevallo, an Education Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of North Alabama, an Administrative Certification from the University of Alabama, and a Doctorate of Education from Clemson University.
Dr. Greene is thrilled to begin this new administrative chapter of his career at Simmons Middle School. He is married to a fellow educator, Amanda who teaches at Riverchase Elementary, and both of his sons attend Hoover City Schools.
